Reshapers PTTLS course is accredited by NOCN and is a 1 unit qualification providing 6 credits at level 3 or 4. It can be taken as a stand alone unit and can be used as the first unit towards the CTTLS award.

The Reshapers PTTLS course consists of seven core areas:
1. Introduction to PTLLS and CTLLS
2. Understanding your role, responsibilities and boundaries as a teacher
3. Understanding teaching and learning approaches in your specialist area
4. Planning sessions
5. Keeping your teaching inclusive and motivating your students
6. Assessing your students’ learning and keeping records
7. Practice assessment

Assessment includes a practice assessment of an observed micro-teaching session. You do not have to already be in a teaching job in order to undertake the assessment. You will have to deliver a micro-teaching session of at least 15 minutes to a group of learners, which can be your peers.

To achieve the qualification you must successfully complete both the theory and practical assignments covering all areas.
